Default engine clicks when turned by hand

I finally got around to playing with the 715 again tonight. Got the water pump and cooling system back together. I turned the engine over to make sure it was stuck and something the clicking when I turn it over in the correct direction but when I turn it over in the opposite direction there is no clicking. Does this sound like the start is stuck in the flywheel?

    Thanks,

    J.R.

If you've tried to turn it with the starter, it will stay engaged until the engine reaches roughly 600 rpms...the engine speed is with kicks it back out.
