    Default History of my truck?

I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to research the history of my truck. I got it as ex-highway Dept truck and no lettering visible at all. Data plate is intact so I have the serial number for her. I'd like to find out where it was and what the original numbering was as I'm getting close to driving it again.
    Thank you

Basically, there is no way to track the vehicle through its military life unless you find papers in it, the original markings so you can track down some people in the unit during the time of the truck or find some old pictures with the truck in it. Sorry.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

I could not find anything on my truck. I do have a Louisiana Forestry Service tag that was on the glove box door. I thought I should call them and see if by chance they might have old pictures of the truck.
    Thanks for all the help!
