Thread: Fuel tank varnish.

  1. #1

    Default Fuel tank varnish.

I had the tank for the M715 project vated. Well too many pin holes to really fix so decided to scrap it. Radiator guy cut the end off for scrap. I've seen some paint varnished before but never this bad.

No wonder it was so heavy!

The few I have taken off trucks looked nothing like that inside...what are they putting in them?

Interesting. First time to see a paint varnished that is so bad.

I've only seen another tank that bad, one from a '75 Cherokee. It had about 1/2" of thick solid varnish at the bottom, neatly separated in color-coded layers.
