    Default Picture test, Windshield Bumbers

I want to do a test to see if I can attach pictures. So, rather than upload some garbage pictures, I will revisit the "BUMPER ASSEMBLY, WINDSHIELD, RIGHT" rebuild. I got new welting from an eBay seller many years ago. It came with the proper welting and some rivets. They were brass color but must be steel because they rusted! But they still work.

Here is how they went on. You rivet the welting through the original holes and trim the welting to size. In the last picture, I used a piece of pipe to buck the rivet head whilst mashing the split part over in the fourth picture. The final picture is the finished project. It was actually rather easy.

Thanks for taking the time to view this post.

BTW, in the second picture (see below) I am illustrating how I was able to make a hole in the welting whilst holding it tightly around the bend. A machinists scribe worked well.

UPDATE: I am going to add a picture to this post to see if the edit function works as it should. The picture will be from 1969 and was taken in Clovis, NM in the early part of the year. We were driving in a convoy to Blanding, UT to fire the Pershing Missile.

The white M715 belonged to the warhead people and we didn't know anything about it. My M715, SVC-212 is behind it. Let me see if I have another picture of it doing weekend duty, fishing at one of the lakes during the summer.

A preview of this post proves that it works.

Wow. Those pic links look great
And once posted, they'd belong to the forum, like for ever- so no more photo bucket extortion?

Thanks, and that's the idea. I am going to add a picture to the second post to see if that works as it should.

It works just as it should. I added one picture, saved it and then went back and added another picture and saved that.

So to the members out there who still have their pictures and Photobucket has shut you down, you can go back and recreate the thread as you did originally (If you are a paying member). You will be able to edit your post and then put back your pictures in the format that this forum uses.

    Thanks a million Jon!
