    Default Bolt-in t-case replacement?

I know lots of guys have put 205's and 202's in their trucks, but it sounds like they all require some fab work. Is there any t-case out there that is a bolt-in replacment for the np200? If not, is there any way to cure the heat and noise issues in the np200 without replacing it?

    Pretty much no and no!

Some run synthetic fluid to help reduce heat build-up. You can also move the rear drive output to the center. I'm not sure what this has reportedly done about the heat, but most do report a much quieter ride.

The Holy Grail for M715 owners is a bolt-in fix for the NP200. None that anyone's found so far.

Moving the shaft to the center won't help the heat at all, but it will make the transfer case quiet.

Synthetic doen't seem to help the heat issue either, but the oil itself is more resistant to the breakdown because of the heat.

Ok, that's what I figured. So, is there a t-case that you can put in without having to do any fabbing? i.e. something you can just buy the mounting parts or an adapter for?

Well, the typical thing to do is swap in a divorced NP205. There is a thread or two going on about that right now. Pretty much just requires fabbing some brackets.

The NP205 is the closest thing to a drop in replacement but still requires fabbing for the mounts and emergency brake. Get a 10-spline unit from a chevy and yokes from the np200 will slide right on.
