For those of you who have restored your vehicle where did you go for decals or for the stencil to reproduce markings on the truck? I am looking specifically to redo the white star on my hood. Any ideas, websites?

One of the Zoners here makes really nice decal sets, have seen pics and they look great: http://www.davidallenracing.com/M715.htm
You can go to a local shop that sells fleet markings or auto graphics. I did mine local and was only charged $5 for the stars. You just have to state what size you want according to regulations. There is also Rick Larsen Stencils you can use and he has just about everything at www.militarystencils.com. Also for vehicle agency, unit identification etc., Check out http://www.m38a1.com/Resources/color_markings.htm, they have a pretty good explaination there of what to put on your bumpers.
Here's the direct link to my decal site. Delta Team Decal Just shoot me a PM or email me and I'll quote you on just stars you whatever you need.

I got my USMC markings from David and am pleased. You can buy from anybody you want, but David is one of us.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

stars are easy, just layout a point at every 72 degs and connect the dots
I took a picture of a star from my pc and printed it out. Then blew it up on a copier till I got the size I wanted. Then I cut it out. Using masking tape I held it on the hood (you know make a loop of tape and put it on the bottom and stick it down) Then I used more tape to lay out the start. Basically runing a length of tape along each leg of the star. Then removed the paper star, finish taping off the hood and the sprayed it with flat white paint. Reomved tape and there you have it!

All great info, very helpful.
Thanks all.
I gotta put another plug in for Dave. Got mine from him and I'm really pleased. Can't beat the price.

Me too, only I had him make stencils so I could paint my numbers on. A few stickers too. Both were great!
