Thread: tie rod end revisit

    Default tie rod end revisit

    all,

I'm in need of tie rod ends (at the minimum, the one connected to the pitman arm) and I'm having trouble finding anything. I saw there used to be a Moog part but it looks like it doesn't exist any longer. Others have mentioned getting parts from VPW? Does anyone know the part number for those? Are there any standard tie rod ends that fit with a 715? If I get replacement tie rods, it probably wouldn't be awful either. I think one is bent anyways. thanks for the help all!

Memphis equipment had them a couple of years back but I do not see them on their website but it might be worth a call if VPW does not have them.

I got mine from VPW; apparently they have a bunch of tie rod assemblies they just pull the ends off.

Yeah, I got ahold of them. They still have tie rods.

Although, now I'm thinking that I might just make my own... just have to figure out if you need special tie rods or if i can use 1 ton tie rod ends. I was looking at this kit.

I replaced my right passenger side, moog number Es235r with an exact replacement. It s for a Case 100 hydro tractor part number 384006r1. I bought it from yesterday’s tractor. Cost about $30.00 plus shipping 3+ years ago. That moog number also crosses to Eaton - te2010 and ac delco - 45a0015. For the right side. Scott.

Thanks for the info!I'm going to try to find those numbers. I would rather have new components than parts pulled off another truck from VPW.

For reference for anyone looking at this, I found AC Delco part numbers that look like they should work. They match as a cross reference in their catalog to the Moog ES235R/L numbers. here's what I found:

    Driver's side - 45A0014 / 88909848
    Passenger side - 45A0015 / 88909849

    They're NOS parts, not take-offs.
