That is correct...changing the location of the output driveshaft to the left or right output location, the tcase works the exact same.
The only change is that the prominent whine from the stock tcase disappears when the driveshaft is moved.
Some have claimed that is also helps with the notorious overheating at higher speeds/rpms that the NP200 has...In my experience, using synthetic lube and with a temp gauge plumbed to the tcase, when the swap happened, there was no appreciable change in temps noted.
