Getting ready to assemble fuel tank and was wondering if a 24v fuel sending unit will work on a m715 that has been converted to 12v?

No. You need a 12 volt unit that matches your 12 volt gauge. NAPA has a generic sender that works with some gauges.
I installed a 12V gauge with a GM Ohm range. So I welded a GM sender to the 24 volt sender plate in the tank. Still works 20 years later.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

If what Barrman suggests does not work for you, Call ISSPRO in Portland Oregon and ask for Don. Tell him what you are doing and Know ahead of time if you have a large or small diameter cover. I don't know because I don't have a stock tank. He will get you all set up. Know also how deep the tank is from the sending unit mounting flange to bottom of tank.
He is a really great help.
Ford versus Chevy. One of them used 0 Ohms for empty and something like 94 Ohms for full on the sender. The other used 200 or so Ohms for empty and 110 or so for full. I don't know what Dodge did. Figure out what your gauge needs is my point. Then fabricate or purchase as Al suggested.

Yes I forgot to mention the Ohm's range too. Barrman thank you and you are a great source of help and knowledge.
I have a 24V sending unit. When I converted to 12v, I wired up 12v /24v converter to the fuel level circuit (about $20 on ebay). Works fine, no need to drop the tank or modify the sending unit. I kept the original 24v gauge
